HIV Self-Screening Campaign

To help the public understand their health status, the Taiwan Centers for Disease Control under the Ministry of Health and Welfare is organizing the HIV Self-Screening Campaign. This initiative encourages people to use screening or anonymous screening services, fostering the habit of regular check-ups to care for themselves and protect those around them.

  • Campaign Period: From now until November 30, 2024.
  • Target Participants:
    1. Individuals who are sexually active: It is recommended to undergo at least one HIV screening.
    2. Individuals engaging in unsafe sexual behavior: It is recommended to undergo HIV screening at least once a year.
    3. Individuals with high-risk behaviors (such as contracting sexually transmitted diseases, having multiple sexual partners, using addictive drugs, sharing needles or diluents with others), or whose sexual partners fall into any of these categories: It is recommended to undergo screening every 3 to 6 months.
  • High school (and vocational school) students: Free self-screening kits can be requested every 3 months (no time limit).
