NTHU Maternal Health Protection Plan

Accordance
Article 30, 31, and paragraph 3 of Article 31 of Occupational Safety and Health Act is enacted to provide female laborers maternal health protection.
- Aim
Provide maternal health protection for female laborers who conduct tasks which is susceptible to maternal health hazard.
- Policy focus
- Special measures are adapted for maternal health protection, which shall not be regarded as discrimination, and ensure the right to work.
- Risk evaluation, hazard elimination, working condition adjustment or rearrangement, shall be taken for the person involved, in order to provide protection for reproductive function, maternal and fetus' health.
- Definition
Maternal health protection: measures taken for female laborers who conduct work which is susceptible to hazard, including hazard evaluation and control, physician consultation, risk classification management, suitable work arrangement and other related measures.
- Applicable to
- Pregnant employees .

Employees up to 2 years postpartum.

Employees who are still breastfeeding 2 or more years after postpartum.

Employees childbearing age who proactively request an assessment.
