If you find someone smoking on campus, what can you do?
The NTHU campus is a wholly non-smoking environment. Smoking is prohibited everywhere. He/She will be fined NT2,000 to NT10,000 if he/she is caught.
Report by calling the toll free line (0800-531-531) for complaints on tobacco hazards (local phone system only), or notify nearby Public Health Bureau.
It is best that the reporter provides violator’s basic information such as name, his/her national ID number and etc. You can still report even if you cannot access information mentioned above, however, the reporter will be asked to provide proof of violation. For instance, photos or videos with description of time and location. As long as the information is delivered to the local Public Health Bureau, the Public Health Bureau will report and inspect on site.
